Gut Health

A healthy gut microbiome plays a key role in women's health and hormone regulation.

The gut is an intricate ecosystem that influences oestrogen and progesterone levels, it impacts our menstrual cycles, mental health and for many women can be the missing health link to rebalance.

If you are suffering with sugar craving, sleep disturbances, irregular periods and fertility imbalances then you could have a poor gut microbiome and we can help you restore your gut microbiome and add back that layer of health and hormonal balance.

A compromised gut microbiome can significantly impact both menopause and fertility.

Gut Health & Menopause

Menopause

A poor gut microbiome can exacerbate symptoms such as hot flushes, disturbed sleep and mood swings. This is due to the complex relationship of the gut-brain axis and the hypothalamus-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis. Both these play a fundamental role in stress management and hormone regulation.

By restoring a healthy diverse gut microbiome we support hormonal regulation and in clinic we see patients with less sugar cravings, improved sleep, reduced cortisol and as a result they start to see weight changes and enjoy a new layer of health.

Gut Health & Fertility

Fertility

The gut microbiome influences the synthesis and metabolism of key reproductive hormones oestrogen and progesterone. These 2 hormones are vital for egg quality and production and for preparing your uterus lining and supporting pregnancies.

A thriving, diverse and abundant gut microbiome facilitates excellent nutrient absorption which is essential for reproductive health.

Gut Health FAQs

What happens in a gut health consultation?

We offer a bespoke gut health consultation where we explore your health needs and prescribe for you the right gut microbiome boosting mushrooms for your hormonal, physical and emotional rebalance.

During the consultation we will:

  • Take your medical history and any medication you are currently taking (as our mushrooms are medical grade we need to ensure there aren't any contraindication with your medication)
  • Ask about your diet and lifestyle
  • Explain why your hormones are out of balance
  • Help you see why you are getting your symptoms and give you tips to help reduce and relieve them
  • Give you tips and advice on how to help balance your hormones
  • Prescribe for you the right mushrooms(s) to help rebalance you.

How are your mushrooms different from the ones I see on social media?

These aren’t the mushrooms you buy in the supermarket, these are medical quality produced with pharmaceutical production standards. They have the highest standards of bio molecules. 100% pure extract. GMP pharmaceutical quality and safety standards. These are backed by clinical research and development.

They aren’t a coffee or a drink these are tablets from a leading biopharma laboratory.

How long do I need to take the mushrooms for?

We recommend you take your supplement for at least 2 months initially to restore the gut microbiome. After this we will have a call to go through your symptoms again and we will then have a health view to allow us to decide next steps for you. This may be diet only, the same mushrooms or changing to a blended product for maintenance.

Mushroom prices start from £65 per month for the 1st 2 months, then we reassess your needs depending on your health improvements.
