Cosmetic acupuncture involves the insertion of fine needles in the face and neck.

These tiny punctures stimulate both the lymphatic and circulatory system. The needles a create what we call a positive trauma, this stimulate collagen helping to improve appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

How Does It Work?

Facial Acupuncture

Facial acupuncture is the insertion of fine acupuncture needles into the head, face and neck to promote the flow of blood and QI (energy or life force). The insertion of fine needles causes minor trauma to stimulate the healing process of producing collagen and elastin that tighten and plump the skin.

From a Chinese medicine perspective facial acupuncture treatment has three main effects.

1) A systemic effect by encouraging the free flow of Qi
and blood

2) A local effect via needle stimulation creating a minor trauma

3) Balancing muscle effect by adjusting muscle tension for facial symmetry.

Course of 8 week recommended. Then monthly maintenance treatments

LED Therapy

We also offer LED light therapy as an addition to our Facial Acupuncture treatments. These work on different wave lengths and bring different skin benefits. These waves penetrate the different layers of the skin to bring different skin benefits.

LED therapy in an non-invasive treatment that can help to boost collagen, reduce pigmentation, increase elastin and rejuvenate the skin.

Red Light helps to stimulate the fibroblast cells that are
responsible for the production of collagen proteins and so caids in helping the skin look plumper and reduces appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Blue Light targets the cells in the deeper layers of the skin and can help to ease the oil production and helps kill bacteria so ideal for acne
prone skin.

Green Light helps to reduce ages spots and pigmentation by reducing the production of melanocytes. With less melanin dark patches and
pigmentation patches fade.
